About Aubrey

Aubrey McMahon

Aubrey McMahon has over a decade of experience in the racing industry and is the founder of Temple Bloodstock.

He began his career in racing at the age of fifteen, spending his first summer working for Champion Trainer Willie Mullins. Over the following years, Aubrey gained extensive experience as an exercise rider and amateur jockey, riding winners for some of Ireland’s leading trainers including Willie Mullins, Ted Walsh, Gordon Elliott and Enda Bolger. His most notable achievements in the saddle came with Whiskey Sour and Uradel, recording back-to-back victories in the Connacht Hotel Amateur Handicap at the Galway Festival in 2017 and 2018 — two landmark wins that helped shape his career in the sport.

Following his riding career, Aubrey turned his focus fully to bloodstock and ownership, launching Temple Bloodstock with the aim of making racehorse ownership accessible, enjoyable and rewarding, whether for first-time owners, syndicates, families or private groups.

Since its formation, Temple Bloodstock has built a strong and growing record of success on the track. Horses sourced and managed by the operation have produced winners at all levels, including Honesty Policy, a Grade 1 winner, and Tounsivator, winner of the Grade 2 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse. To date, every horse to run under Temple Bloodstock syndicate ownership has recorded a win, a record that reflects careful selection and long-term planning.

Temple Bloodstock works closely with many of Ireland’s leading trainers, including Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott, Gavin Cromwell, Tony Martin, Paul Flynn and Enda Bolger, ensuring each horse is placed in the right environment to reach its potential. Owners have enjoyed success at major meetings and venues including Punchestown, Galway, Chester, Aintree, Newmarket.

Aubrey’s approach is built on experience, strong industry relationships and transparency. Whether guiding new owners through their first syndicate, advising private buyers, or sourcing horses with long-term potential, Temple Bloodstock is founded on the belief that racehorse ownership should be both professionally managed and genuinely enjoyable.
